Hello!

Welcome, welcome. I decided to create this blog after a mild enlightenment that (1) I love food-related games and food-related films; and I want to write about that, and (2) posts about the previous statement wouldn't be relevant on my melodramatic poetic blog.

Still figuring out how to modify this theme (my skills are dulled, ok) so in the meantime please bear with this boring-other-blog theme.

"The Glee Project" Cast

taken from homorazzi.com, I just copy-paste everything actually :p

Take a good look at these kids, because one of them will be appearing on Glee’s third season. In a new reality competition, “The Glee Project” on Oxygen, 12 contenders will compete against each other to win a coveted seven-episode guest starring role on the next season of “Glee”. Oxygen unveiled the talented six boys and six girls hoping to join the likes of Rachel, Quinn, Finn, Puck and company in the hallowed halls of McKinley High.

Starting Sunday, June 12 on “The Glee Project“, these performers from professional and amateur backgrounds will participate in intensive rounds of singing, dancing and acting workshops, called homework assignments. The 10 episode series will feature a trio of mentors who will work with each of the kids in various skills. “Glee” casting director, Robert Ulrich, will work with the contenders on their acting, while Zach Woodlee and Nikki Anders help them with dancing and vocals respectively. “Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy will join Ulrich and Woodlee for the final deliberations of each episode.

Oxygen revealed that a group of “Glee” series regulars will appear as guest mentors in each episode. During the premiere, fan favorite Darren Criss (Blaine) will be the first to appear as a guest mentor. Ryan Murphy has revealed that if a guy is chosen, the role will likely be a love interest for diva character Mercedes (Amber Riley). It’s about time Mercedes got her groove back. Check out the Gleeks vying for a breakout role below.

THE BOYS

Alex Newell (left)

Age: 18
Hometown: Lynn, MA

Alex has been a performer since he was a toddler, and has been performing in amateur shows since high school. He lost his father to cancer at the age of six and finding his love for acting and singing has helped him find a way to express his emotions. Extracurricular activities such as church choir, school choir, improv club and costume design keep him extremely busy. He has tremendous range and has the ability to tackle any lead role –both male or female! Alex was one of the 34,000 people to submit an audition video for “The Glee Project” via MySpace.

Bryce Vine (right)

Age: 22
Hometown: Westlake Village, CA

Bryce has been performing ever since he picked up an acoustic guitar and taught himself to play at age 13. In his junior year of high school, he discovered the theatre department and for the first time in his life felt comfortable in his own skin. At 15, while vacationing in the Bahamas, Bryce dove headfirst into a coral reef, splitting open his head and breaking his neck. For the next seven months he lived in a neck brace unsure of whether he would walk again. Currently, Bryce attends Berklee College of Music in Boston where he is a Voice major with a scholarship. He sings jazz, rap, pop, punk, reggae and gospel and is also an accomplished songwriter. Bryce was one of the 34,000 to submit an audition video for “The Glee Project” via MySpace.

Cameron Mitchell (right)

Age: 21
Hometown: Fort Worth, TX

Cameron is a natural musician who, up until six months ago, had never taken a single music lesson. He’s been performing in amateur shows for four years. In high school, Cameron was hated by all the guys but loved by all the girls. He grew up loving the Beatles – they inspire him and influence him as a musician and a performer. He originally auditioned for “The Glee Project” at the Dallas/Fort Worth open casting call.

Damian McGinty (left)

Age: 18
Hometown: Derry City, Northern Ireland

Damian tours with the Irish vocal group Celtic Thunder and has been performing with them since age 14. While he has a lower voice than most male pop singers, Damian is a versatile vocalist who has learned to master many different styles. A native of Ireland, he brings a different cultural mindset than others competing on the show. Damian was discovered through industry channels to audition for “The Glee Project.”

Matheus Ferandes (left)

Age: 20
Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Originally from Brazil, Matheus moved to the United States eight years ago to consult American doctors about his 4‘9” height. Their conclusion: he is “just short.” Despite not knowing any English, he enrolled in school three days after moving to the States and through the help of his trusty dictionary, mastered the language within months. Music has always been his best companion – helping him get through life’s difficult challenges. Finally overcoming his insecurities, Matheus decided to audition for “The Glee Project” at the Dallas/Fort Worth open casting call. He proudly proves that being different is never a bad thing.

Samuel Larsen (right)

Age: 19
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

Samuel, a musician at heart, is not only the lead singer in his band, but he also plays guitar, drums, bass and piano. He’s a hopeless romantic and has a knack for serenading the ladies, often more confident singing to them than actually talking to them. Samuel was one of the 34,000 people to submit an audition video for “The Glee Project” via MySpace.

THE GIRLS

Ellis Wylie (left)

Age: 19
Hometown: Grayslake, IL

Ellis has been performing in amateur shows for four years. Always the outcast in high school, Ellis used her vocal talents and musical theater to find friends and express herself. Ellis originally auditioned for “The Glee Project” at the Chicago open casting call.

Emily Vasquez (right)

Age: 22
Hometown: New York, NY

Emily has been performing for 11 years, both in off-Broadway shows and in Las Vegas. She attended LaGuardia High School – New York City’s “Fame” school – and prides herself on her training. Her feisty and flirty personality commands attention and comes out in the way she performs. She has her eye on the prize and will do whatever it takes to win, competition and all. Emily was discovered through industry channels to audition for “The Glee Project.”

Hannah Mclalwain (left)

Age: 20
Hometown: Charlotte, NC

Hannah has been performing in amateur shows for six years. Even though she sometimes feels self-conscious about her weight, she uses her sense of humor and exuberance to overcome any negative feelings she has about her appearance. Besides her talent for singing, Hannah can also rap (under the alias Rogue), which illustrates her sincere quirkiness and positive attitude. Hannah originally auditioned for “The Glee Project” at the Dallas/Fort Worth open casting call.

Lindsay Pearce (right)

Age: 19
Hometown: Modesto, CA

Lindsay has been performing in amateur shows for 13 years. Deaf for the first six months of her life, she especially appreciates her ear for music more than ever. She hasn’t always been accepted as a performer, but she continues to work hard, accept who she is and allow her inner-beauty to shine. Lindsay was discovered through industry channels to audition for “The Glee Project.”

Marissa Von Bleicken (left)

Age: 19
Hometown: New York, NY

Marissa has been performing in commercials and shows on both an amateur and professional level for over 12 years. She is a native New Yorker with a colorful bohemian style. She is an artist in every sense of the word: skilled in singing, acting, dancing, drawing and design. Marissa was one of the 34,000 people to submit an audition video for “The Glee Project” via MySpace.

McKynleigh Abraham (right)

Age: 19
Hometown: Paducah, KY

McKynleigh has been performing in amateur shows for 13 years. As a biracial musician, she surprises people when they discover her strength is singing country music. Growing up home-schooled, she always wanted to be in show choir but never had the chance. McKynleigh originally auditioned for “The Glee Project” at the Chicago open casting call.

Of all, my favorite is Cameron! He's so nerdy cute aww~

GLEE Season 2 Overall

So, as I said, I'm definitely a Gleek, because it's one of few TV Serial I've been following since the beginning of the season :D
Here in Southeast Asia, the season finale hasn't been played on Starworld, it's still about a week 'till the finale, but I've downloaded all the episodes, so I've watched completely :D

(this is a spoiler for those who hasn't watch)

OVERALL
The season ends perfectly (I think) with Finchel are together again, the New Directions didn't make the Top 10 but they're on the 12th of the Nationals. Quinn cut her hair, Santana being more open about her lesbian issue, Brittany and Santana back as bestfriend, Sam and Mercedes are together (WHAT?? Yes I know, I know), Puck and Zizes, Mike and Tina, Kurt back to McKinley High and still in relationship with Blaine, and for Artie and Brittany, I don't really know, I mean, they broke up before the prom, but then get back together at the prom?

RELATIONSHIP
complicated, true!
At the beginning, Rachel dated Finn, then they broke up because in Season 1, Finn has an affair with Santana and Rachel remained single until the end when she got back with Finn.
After breaking up with Rachel, Finn dated Quinn until he realized it's Rachel that he's attached to, not Quinn, though he loves Quinn too.
Before dating Finn, Quinn dated Sam, staying strong until they broke up and Sam dated Santana.
Puck was previously dating like mostly everyone on the Glee Club, until he met Lauren Zizes and then they started dating.
Tina was dating Artie at the beginning of the season, until she dumped Artie for Mike and his abs.
Artie then dates Brittany, I don't know why but they're my favorite couple after Finchel :p
Kurt was sexually harassed by Karofsky who turns out to be gay, but Kurt has Blaine in his side.

MUSIC
For the music of S2, I basically love almost every songs "Glee Cast"ed, but my favorites (also their original) are:

GET IT RIGHT
Rachel

What have I done? I wish I could run
Away from this ship goin' under
Just tryin' to help, hurt everyone else
Now I feel the weight of the world is
On my shoulders

What can you do when your good isn't good enough?
When all that you touch tumbles down?
'Cause my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just wanna fix it somehow
But how many times will it take?
Oh, how many times will it take for me?
To get it right
To get it ri-igh-ight

Can I start again with my faith shaken?
'Cause I can't go back and undo this
I just have to stay and face my mistakes
But if I get stronger and wiser
I'll get through this

What can you do when your good isn't good enough?
When all that you touch tumbles down?
'Cause my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just wanna fix it somehow
But how many times will it take?
Oh, how many times will it take for me?
To get it right

So I throw up my fist
Throw a punch in the air
And accept the truth that sometimes life isn't fair
Yeah, I'll send down a wish
Yeah, I'll send up a prayer
And finally, someone will see
How much I care!

What can you do when your good isn't good enough?
When all that you touch tumbles down?
'Cause my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just wanna fix it somehow
But how many it times will it take?
Oh, how many times will it take for me?
To get it right
To get it ri-igh-ight

PRETENDING
Rachel and Finn

Face to face and heart to heart
We’re so close yet so far apart
I close my eyes I look away
That’s just because I’m not okay
But I hold on I stay strong
Wondering if we still belong

Will we ever say the words we’re feeling
Deep down underneath it
Tear down all the walls
Will we ever have a happy ending
Or will we forever only be pretending
We will always be pretending

How long do I fantasize
Make believe that it’s still alive
Imagine that I am good enough
If we can choose the ones we love
But I hold on I stay strong
Wondering if we still belong

Will we ever say the words we’re feeling
Deep down underneath it
Tear down all the walls
Will we ever have a happy ending
Or will we forever only be pretending

Will we (oh oh) always (oh oh) be keeping secrets safe
Every move we make
Seems like nowhere’s safe to go
And it’s such a shame
Cuz if you feel the same
How am I supposed to know

Will we ever say the words we’re feeling
Deep down underneath it
Tear down all the walls bloglyrics.net
Will we ever have a happy ending
Or will we forever only be pretending
Will we (oh oh) always (oh oh) be pretending

Santana:

Artie:

Finn:

Artie:
lay it all down
Brittany:

Brittany:
throw your doubt away
Artie:

Chorus:
let's light up the world tonight
you gotta give up the bark and bite
i know that we got the love alright
come on and li-li-light it up, light it up tonight

Finn:
hey hey hey you.
hey hey hey you.

Rachel:
lay it all down,

you gotta give up the bark and bite
i know that we got the love alright
come on and li-li-light it up, light it up tonight
