Hello!

Welcome, welcome. I decided to create this blog after a mild enlightenment that (1) I love food-related games and food-related films; and I want to write about that, and (2) posts about the previous statement wouldn't be relevant on my melodramatic poetic blog.

Still figuring out how to modify this theme (my skills are dulled, ok) so in the meantime please bear with this boring-other-blog theme.

New Year Eve Dinner

I don't know why but I can't get this picture landscaped. I thought this was funny because my Mom was trying to prank Jeff and it worked. It's not shown in this picture but Jeff was really surprised by the sound. So funny!

First of all, I just wanna say Happy New Year!

By the way, yesterday I had a blast. Yeah we shopped for groceries because we were having a steak for dinner. We went to Ranch Market and spent much on the groceries!

And then we cooked together. There were my auntie (for the next I'm gonna call her by "Mamie"), my big bro Erick and Jeffrey, my Mom (who's not helping too much because she's also busy with Pocky) and me.
I love those moments and I was absolutely having fun.

And I actually did some helps. I did these:
  1. Rinse and clean all the vegetables, then peel the carrots and cut the rest.
  2. Help Erick to tie the steak meat. Yes, tie, so they remain round ;)
  3. Cut the chicken breast into small tiny part for the Zuppa Soup
  4. And my best part; I made the whole mashed potato, from peeling them (with Erick) then mashed them, adding butter, whip cream, salt, nutmeg, pepper, and a pinch of sugar. They're so damn yummy!
  5. Wash and cut the mushrooms
  6. Help Mamie cut the sausages, but failed miserably so I just let her finish the rest :p

Potato peeling
While Mamie and I were working hard, you can see my Mom was goofing and joking around. But she did helped (though she's not working as hard as us) really!

BY THE WAY, IT SUCKS BECAUSE I CAN'T UPLOAD THE PICTURE IN THEIR CORRECT POSE (PORTRAIT or LANDSCAPE) AND I DON'T KNOW WHY BECAUSE IT SEEMS RIGHT IN MY FOLDER BUT NOT QUITE RIGHT ON THIS PAGE :/
My Mom helping my Mamie putting a glazing on the Zuppa Soup' pastry. See, she helped kok ;)
My (repeat, MY) mashed potato. I worked so hard for this one and it worthed the work.
My Mamie cutting the pastries layers
All done by me; all is fresh, all is clean, all is peeled, all is yummy, all is crunchy, and so on
The Zuppa Soup ready to be oven-ed (what to say it?)
My Mamie covering the whole soup with pastries. Yes that's me on the background :p
Toldya my Mom did help us kok! Haha :D
The steak and sausage on the grilling
Jeff was grilling as an expert, but you can't see he had a timer on his iPhone (not shown here) to time everything and he had previously googled the time of grilling :p
My mashed potato and the gravy-to-be on the right
Zuppa Soup has turned bronze and ready to be served! Yum!
Everybody busy in the kitchen
See, you can see Jeff's iPhone! He's not as pro as he might look :p

I'm still 16 but I'll turn 17 soon so everybody say I'm okay to drink. I drink a lot and was a little tipsy at night.
By the way, Pamela told me the difference between tipsy and drunk:
Tipsy is when you are on a happy state and sleep safe and sound and wake up fresh
Drunk is not on a happy state and the rest isn't that safe and sound

Now that's Pamela!
Erick was whipping a whipped cream for the dessert
A very yummy chocolate cake, special with whipped cream :)
